Ok, that's not the title, but that is what my main characters are going to be I believe! After much thinking, mind mapping, and what not, the idea suddenly came upon me to center my story about a blind boy (that part's the same) and a street musician.
I can only do things that I am inspired by or passionate about, and music is something I love. On top of that, when studying in Florence, Italy last year, I was literally enraptured but this street guitarist who played in the Piazza della Signoria every night. No matter how cold. I remember sitting on the ground or just standing, and just letting his notes enliven my soul. Literally, I'm not exaggerating! You could feel his music in your bones as they drifted across the air through the open space. All of Florence came alive with color it seemed.
Which is what I want to depict. My rough story is that a blind boy wondering in the streets, trips over something and finds an object of significance (TBD). I'm thinking something simple, like a flower. Suddenly, he hears music in the distance, just simple notes floating through the air. My story will be of him finding those notes and ultimately encountering the musician, and giving him the gift he found earlier. I'm imagining a surreal, imaginative fantastical journey, one that is largely of his mind. Almost kind of a mix of visual music, but more crazy and colorful :)
I'm even considering starting my film black and white and slowly merging into color has he gets closer to the musician and "catches more notes".
